Sam came home from school today, went straight to the playroom, and came out wearing this most “Awesome Outfit” <—— his words. I agree, this outfit is almost as awesome as he is.

Welcome to my business, disguised as a blog, parading as a website, rolled up in love. I take photos of beautiful families (like yours) and write about miracles & madness (like life) from my happy place in Portland, Oregon. I’m happy you’re here. Hope you’re a hugger! |

I met Sonja several years ago, while she was the co-owner of Spielwerk Toys in the Sellwood neighborhood. (the Sellwood location is now a thing of the past, but the Williams St store is GORGEOUS! Stop in often!) Sonja is as lovely as they come, and we have had many insightful, supportive conversations over the years about the magic of childhood, my son’s autism, the joys and the perils of being a small business owners over the years. She is creative, warm, loving, and has the most wonderful laugh. We have collaborated and supported each other, and I am so grateful for her beautiful place in my life. And her family? They are like pure magic – both as a collective group and each amazing individual. Not to mention the fact that they are totally easy on the eyes! ;o) Much love to you S, L, A, F & J!!!
These photos are so touching! I can really feel the love. Just smiling to myself after perusing through What an amazing album. I do know this family and they are extraordinary! You have captured every bit of their souls in these pictures! Jen, that’s so funny – I do know them (or, at least, him) and I know you! And I agree, they do look amazing. Great photos. To know, know, know them is to love, love, love them, and I do, yes I do, yes I do! I don’t know this family, but they sure look amazing! Beautifully captured. Simple and lovely. Jen I can’t wait to have you do pics for us someday!! I love the moments you captured here! these are AMAZING!!!! |
