The humanness of blogging. AKA Sunday #???

Dear Readers, I have faltered. I was finally in such a beautiful rhythm of blogging, and I owed it muchly to the Sundays project. And then one Sunday I really didn’t feel like shooting. So I didn’t, and in all of my procrastinating perfectionist glory, the blogging came to a screeching halt. And then the self-imposed guilt and the kicking of my own arse for being such a failure. Silly me. You know those inner voices. We all do, don’t we?

At any rate, I’M BACK… and oh do I have things to share with you! I’ll likely stumble again. And I’ll try to not get stuck for a month, and just go with it. I promise to try.

Picking up with this past Sunday… Sunday and Monday actually. Rob & I decided that our little crew could really use a little perspective refreshing, so we packed up and headed to the beautiful Oregon Coast to take advantage of the incredibly perfect and warm Spring weather we’ve been having. We are super lucky to have friends with a cozy house near Pacific City, and they know how important is for our family to get away occasionally for some fun away from the daily grind. We are so thankful for that gift! Wild and free us. Just for 24 hours. Renewed.

I always love stumbling upon other families who live near the west coast and see that their families are no different than mine. These photos make me smile because of this.
Happy hugs to you from a California west coast girl.

Love this — and love seeing YOU on camera! ;)

    Today is Baby Day!

A very special person is coming into the world today… into the loving arms of Darcie & Walter. And I couldn’t be more excited!

These guys are so awesome. Darcie has been with us through some of our biggest life moments, including being our kick ass realtor through buying our first (and only) beloved home. (Seriously, she and her partner Hilary at PDX Green Team – Oregon First Realty are the BOMBDIGGITY. I have never heard of a real estate transaction going as smoothly as ours did, and they are so freaking cool. I cannot recommend them any higher!) And Walter came into our lives when he and Darcie got hitched and chose my #1 guy to officiate their wedding. He is one of the creators and owners of the world famous Pine State Biscuits (uhoh, just thinking about their food made me drool a little). Needless to say, I love these 2 – they are wonderful – and they are going to be incredible parents. What a lucky kiddo!I get to meet their Little tomorrow, and will be back with photos of his tiny cuteness then! xox

You capture images that take my breath away all the time. When you turn your magic toward people I love it just magnifies the awe by a million. These guys are so special (and absurdly good looking). I can’t wait to see them as parents!
